1) Contaminated peri-implant site.  Zoom into the inflamed connective tissue.

2) The diode laser fiber should be inserted subgingivally, reaching the most apical extension of the contaminated peri-implant site, not fearing to penetrate beyond the lacerated epithelium, into the inflamed connective tissue.

3) Healthy peri implant tissue.
